Set time aside to relax each day and make sure you are getting the recommended hours of sleep you need based on your age.
Stay physically active. It can be tempting to skip exercising when you have a lot on your holiday to do list. Maintain your regular exercise schedule but opt for shorter workouts with a little more intensity. Put on some music that makes you happy or motivated and dance in your living room or while making dinner for add a little extra physical activity to your day.
Eat fresh seasonal foods. There are plenty of fruits and vegetables in the Fall. Some healthy and delicious choices are brussels sprouts, pumpkin, winter squash, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, nuts, apple, pears, and figs. Fueling your body the right way will give you the energy you need to enjoy all that the holiday season has to offer.
Be present by practicing mindfulness. Feeling overwhelmed can lead to unnecessary stress. Stay in the moment by practicing mindfulness. Take deep breaths throughout the day. Instead of obsessing about your "to-do" list for tomorrow, give full attention to the present and the people around you.
Do something you love every day. It could be painting, trying a new restaurant, cuddling your pet or just reading a good book. You deserve some me time without guilt. Recognize that you are important and need to balance your emotional and psychological needs alongside the needs of your To Do list!
